Billing & renewal: The 1-Day and 3-Day Passes are one-time payments — they do not renew, and you will not be charged again for them. Weekly Unlimited is $350 billed once a week and renews weekly until you cancel; you can cancel anytime from your portal and you keep access until the end of the paid week. Public DC fast-charging rates are approximate averages from major public network kiosk pricing and state PUC filings (2024–2025); actual rates vary by station, network membership, and time of day. Each comparison is sessions in the plan window × kWh per session × your rate, minus the plan price, using the sessions-per-week, kWh-per-session, and rate assumptions you set above. A plan that costs more than pay-per-kWh at your usage is shown as costing more — only a difference of $0.50 or less (the display rounds to the nearest dollar) is shown as break-even.
How charging works
- Pick a station on the Charger Map and send a pump request.
- Our team confirms it and starts your session on our company network accounts — typically within 5–10 minutes; your request stays open for 10 minutes.
- You charge. The network bills us, not you — no per-kWh math and no session fees on top of your plan.
Works at participating stations on major U.S. networks. You never need the networks' own apps, accounts, or payment methods.
If charging can't start, you don't lose your money
If the station is offline, the pump won't respond, or we can't reach the network within that 10-minute window, your request is cancelled and the full amount goes straight back into your EV Freedom Wallet as credit — automatically — and we email you the exact amount. One-time guests receive a credit code for the full amount, good for 90 days.
Charger already down when you arrive? Message us from your portal or send the request anyway — if we can't get you charging there, the credit above applies, and the Charger Map shows your nearest alternative.
Who a pass pays off for
A single charging session booked on its own costs $35. At a typical public DC fast rate, a 40 kWh session can cost less than $35 at the pump, so the single session is a convenience price, not a discount. A 1-Day Pass is $50. If you mostly charge at home, a short pass on road-trip days is usually the better fit. Weekly Unlimited is $350 a week and can be cancelled; all sales are final. The 1-Year Freedom Pass is $3,495 once and does not renew. The Weekly plan starts to beat per-kWh pricing only at a high personal pace — the calculator defaults to 5 sessions a week and shows the break-even. These passes are for personal use, not rideshare or fleet driving.
